Hi Kim: I love this animoto clip. I presume these are your children in the classroom. The expressions on their faces are priceless this must hav been a great lesson. I am looking forward to reading and SEEING more. Melanie Harris
Naoko- The students with the stretchy fabric were listening for intensifying phrases. I used a very slow piece of music and as the music grew more intense the students would link together and create a web. When the music got softer they would break apart the web. I got it from a workshop last year. The idea was that the fabric would glow with a black light, however I got the only white fabric that doesn't glow! The lady who did the workshop used neon pink, green and orange and it looked really cool. She said that she does movement performance pieces for her concerts. Very cool!
Linda- The students were listening to a variety of different music I had randomized on a play list and had to move accordingly. It was an end of the year fun activity.
I am an elementary music teacher, who teaches Pre K thru 6th grade. I teach general music, chorus and strings. I am currently pursing a Masters of Music Education from the University of Florida. I received my Bachelors degree from Stetson University in 2006.

Hi, Kim. Your Animoto looks great. I am very much interested in the white strings activitiy that is shown. What are the students doing?

Kim,
I thought the song selection was great, although when I started watching it, it stopped playing. Were the kids doing an activity on meter?
Naoko-
